Saturday May 4th will be the last day to enter!

 

We have Amateur and Proficient levels, and a very exciting Youth level for our 14 and under photographers, so grab your cameras and enter to win too. This contest is a chance for photographers of all ages to show off their talents, and is open to everyone across the country. 

All events will take place at

The Kingsport Arts Guild Gallery - c/o Kingsport Renaissance Center - 1200 E. Center St, Kingsport, TN

Please join us on Saturday May 11th for the photograph judging.  The judging is open to the public from 10 a.m. until finish.

Photography will be on exhibit May 19- July 1 - during the Center's regular business hours

 The Awards Ceremony and Reception will take place Sunday May 19th, from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.

And don't miss the People's Choice Award to be announced Sunday June 9th at 3 p.m.

Tip of The Month
DO NOT
put anything in a frame without a mat or a liner.  Matting and liners were designed to keep art
projects away from the covering glass.

Over a period of time, photos and art projects can stick to the covering glass and doesn't come off.

Stitchery projects that touch the covering glass can draw moisture and mold or mildew.

General News
 

Jerry A. Penley, founder and creator of Penjacc Productions and this website, passed away April 14, 2006.  Many

of you didn't know him personally, but knew his site and photography.  He may be gone but not forgotten for he lives

on in the photographs and this website that he took such great pride in.  He is still guiding us every time we are out taking

photographs.   The Ole Ridgerunner has gone home.
